Alexander M. Gormley
Alexander Gormley’s practice focuses on all aspects of litigation for the firm’s employee benefit plan clients.
Since joining the firm, Mr. Gormley has been involved in litigating a number of large, complex matters, including multi-million dollar withdrawal liability claims, breach of fiduciary duty claims by and against plan trustees and payroll audit claims. He is also experienced in handling matters related to Department of Labor audits. Mr. Gormley routinely handles delinquent contribution matters and his practice includes representing the interests of employee benefit plans as creditors in bankruptcy matters throughout the United States, including in the District of Delaware, Northern District of Illinois, and the Southern District of New York.
Before joining Slevin & Hart, P.C., Mr. Gormley was a litigation associate with a commercial litigation firm in the District of Columbia.
Mr. Gormley earned a B.A., summa cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania and earned his law degree, summa cum laude, from University of Maryland Law School in 2009, graduating as one of the top-five ranked individuals in his class.
Mr. Gormley is licensed in the District of Columbia and Maryland and is admitted to a number of U.S. District Courts throughout the country.
